This wage is 85 percent above the state average, accompanied by a negligible 1.8 percent unemployment rate and a robust 5.0 percent annualized growth rate over the last three years.

The one-year job posting volume reinforces the demand signal. A single occupation within this cluster, Medical and Health Services Managers, generated 27,419 active job ads in the 12-month period ending August 2026, more than any other technical management role in the state (Chmura Economics & Analytics, 2026b). Architectural and Engineering Managers generated an additional 7,224 ads. Compliance Managers and Quality Control Systems Managers generated 1,168 and 1,012 respectively. The total active job ads across the cluster exceeded 39,000 in the most recent 12-month window, with no evidence from the trend data of softening demand.

The seven-year outlook confirms that this demand is structural rather than cyclical. JobsEQ projects that Science/Technology Management occupations will require 68,598 newly trained workers by 2033. With an average annual employment growth of 1.2 percent, this cluster is expanding 50 percent faster than the state's projected all-industry average of 0.8 percent (Chmura Economics & Analytics, 2026b). While this cluster generates Georgia's highest wages and fastest growth, it remains structurally inaccessible to the majority of the state's workforce.

The Educational Imperative for Policy Reform
